The longest-running Queer art and film festival in the Canadian prairies is back for its 26th year at the storied GRAND YYC!
Presented by The Calgary Queer Arts Society, Fairy Tales 2024 will showcase 33 short films, 15 artists, 10 makers, 7 feature films and 2 DJs – spanning all genres, media and runtimes. Come together and celebrate 2SLGBTQIA+ lived experiences and narratives YOUR WAY!

The Fairy Tales Queer Film Festival would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge that we operate on the traditional territories of the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprising the Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai First Nations), the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda (including the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley First Nations) this land is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region III.
